Game night
Nets at Hawks, Saturday, November 7, 7:30 PM ET in Atlanta
Brooklyn comes in rested off its best win of the season, 114 to 104 over Charlotte. Atlanta played last night and has taken five straight from the Nets. MPJ leads Brooklyn at 21.4 points a night and Brown Jr. is a go. Next up after tonight: Sunday, November 8 in Dallas, where the plan says Brown Jr. sits one leg of the back to back.

The team at a glance
Everything a new fan needs to know about the 2026 to 27 Brooklyn Nets in one screen, and the context that makes the rest of this page make sense.
Record
2 and 6
As of the November 7 pregame. A young team finding its footing, coming off a 114 to 104 win over Charlotte, its best win of the season.
Head coach
Jordi Fernández
Third season. From Spain, 15 years an assistant in Cleveland, Denver and Sacramento. He and his entire staff signed extensions on April 20, 2026, because the front office believes in the development culture he is building.
The system
Ball movement, minutes earned
A European flavored system built on ball movement and player development. Minutes are earned through daily competition, and performance decides, every night.
Front office
GM Sean Marks, Governor Joe Tsai
An openly multi year build. No player on the roster has a contract past the 2027 to 28 season, and flexibility is the franchise religion.
Home
Barclays Center, Brooklyn
Home since 2012. Broadcast home is the YES Network, with Ian Eagle and Ryan Ruocco on the call and Sarah Kustok on analysis. Radio is WFAN, Chris Carrino and Tim Capstraw.
Youngest team in the league
14 of 18 players under 25
Eight players on rookie contracts, the most in the NBA. Growing pains are priced in. Effort is not negotiable.
Last season
20 and 62, 13th in the East
The league&;s 30th ranked offense and dead last in rebounding. Those two numbers explain almost every roster decision that followed, starting with the man now starting at center.
The direction
The tank is over, on purpose
Brooklyn does not control its 2027 first round pick, it is a swap owed to Houston, so losing has no payoff this year. The club is trying to win while the kids grow. Full story in the Picks section.
