Pillar 3
Who’s Actually Playing?
The pregame availability board, with the distinction nobody else fixes: out injured and on assignment are not the same thing, and they never share a list here.
Also on the board tonight
Brown Jr. is off the report and plays tonight, and the plan says he sits Sunday in Dallas. Clowney is good to go. Minutes watch: the coaching staff will not start anyone capped under 24 minutes, and that rule shapes the rotation more than any matchup does. It is the same rule keeping Brown Jr. on the bench to open games, and the day his limit clears it, this board will carry the news first.

Long Island is a plan, not a punishment
One more thing this board will never do: treat a Long Island assignment like bad news. The Nets send their young players down with a specific plan, a skill to work on and minutes to bank, and four of the five first rounders from the 2025 class have already done stints there, each with a plan of his own, per NetsDaily reporting on the Long Island program. When you see a name on the assignment line, read it as the rebuild doing its work at Nassau Coliseum, not as a demotion.
